“She Remembers Everything”: Rosanne Cash returns with a “uniquely female perspective” on new album

Blue Note RecordsRosanne Cash returns with her first new album in nearly five years this fall, as She Remembers Everything comes out November 2.

The second-generation country hitmaker had a hand in writing all ten songs on the record, which includes contributions from Kris Kristofferson and Elvis Costello. Recorded in Portland, Oregon and New York City, the album boasts a “uniquely feminine perspective,” as the title suggests.

“There is a woman’s real life, complex experiences, and layered understanding in these songs,” Rosanne explains. “I could not have written them 10 years ago — not even close. Time is shorter, I have more to say.”

Rosanne’s most recent album, 2014’s The River and the Thread, won three Grammys.
