Randy Travis’ autobiography, “Forever and Ever, Amen,” coming May 14

Thomas NelsonRandy Travis‘ autobiography, Forever and Ever, Amen: A Memoir of Music, Faith, and Braving the Storms of Life, will be published May 14 by Christian imprint Thomas Nelson.

The memoir follows the Country Music Hall of Famer from his troubled youth in North Carolina through his more than 40 years in the music business. Along the way, it covers both his divorce and his recovery from a massive stroke.

“I didn’t really feel I had a book to write until I stood on the distant shore and looked back over the ripples my life has made — on myself and on others,” Travis says. “My songs were the stories of my life and I learned from those who listened [that] they were theirs too. My fans inspired me and continue to do so.”

The book was written with best-selling author Ken Abraham, who’s previously worked with the likes of Chuck NorrisGeorge Foreman, and televangelist Jim Bakker.

It borrows its title from Travis’s 1987 #1 hit “Forever and Ever, Amen,” as well as his debut album, Storms of Life.
